Teaching peace and compassion are called the Lessons of Grace and Courtesy. Learning how to work and play together with others, in a peaceful and caring community, is the most critical life skill that we teach in our classrooms.
Children practice greeting others, respecting others’ work, assisting friends in need, and solving problems together. Teachers demonstrate grace and courtesy in our daily interactions with each other, the children and parents; personifying our gracious and courteous school culture.
Our community service activities, such as the Trike-A-Thon for friend Vinny and also the upcoming Relay for Life, play an important role with our children. Through our collective effort, children embrace a helping attitude building character and impacting others. The life lessons of grace, courtesy and community service help to develop a clear sense of values and social conscience from the earliest years.
