Developing Our Next Generation

January 25, 2016

generations

An eager young lady came by the school last week to pay her respects to Ms. Rohini and the teachers. She had attended our little school twelve years earlier. From time to time previous alumni stop by, so it wasn’t unusual.  This confident and poised teen shared with me that she was preparing her college application for the fall.  Her career plan…to become a teacher.

I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride.  This young adult had gained more than an early education in our school. She had gained a purpose; to inspire others toward achieving their potential. She remarked how the school hadn’t changed, though (giggling) she commented how it seemed “much bigger” when she was younger.

So, I accepted her application for summer employment and thanked her for coming by. As she drove away, I couldn’t help but admire this young lady with such a bright and fulfilling future ahead.

To my fellow colleagues, thank you for your amazing work with our future generations! Your passion for our children has a positive and lasting impact.
